Is there a human tendency to take another person or people's words, and twist them to our own benefits and advantages?  How many times have you heard, "no that's not what I meant, I said this...?"  Could this be a neurological pattern in the human race?  Can this be an advantage in the human environment, such as how a judge interprets the Constitution?  Or a pain such as how a kid turns a parent's instructions?  Is this a mindset of humans, if so how much goes into it.
